Say it With Backgammon Style

Why say it plainly when you can say it in style? If you are a novice, then it is reasonable for you to use ordinary words, but not if you were someone with more experience. Ditch those layman's terms and use these jargons instead in talking about the gambling game backgammon:

Checker - this pertains to a marker used by the gambling player in the game of backgammon. The gambling player strategically moves the markers to be able to win. The markers' movement on the board is dependent on the outcome of the dice rolls. Another term for the checkers is men, because the checkers are the gambling player's army.

Checker Play - after the gambling player has rolled the dice, he or she must move his markers according to the outcome of the dice roll.

Chess Clock - this is a clock used in backgammon to count the total time of the player and to tell if the players are taking too much time. This clock is used in the tournaments more than it is in gambling houses. The design of this clock is ingenious. Once a player is finished making a move, he taps the clock and it will stop, while the opponents' clock will start automatically.

Chouette - this is a type of backgammon played in teams instead of one-on-one. Here, a team must have a captain to manage the team. The team may also go against a box, or an opponent playing alone against the team.

Claim a Game - this is a gambling player's move designed to take the current value of the cube. A gambling player claims a game if the opponent backs down from a double. The gambling player intentionally doubles the stakes even if he knows the opponent will decline. This he does because he wants to take the current stakes.

Clean Play - this is played by a gambling player which is legal, no amount of cheating has been done.

Client Software - this is the software players must have in their computer to be able to play backgammon with other players via the internet. Thanks to this, gambling players can now practice their backgammon skills right at the very comfort of their home. Some servers require players to download the gaming software, while the others offer no-download software. Downloading a client software takes time, especially if it contains sophisticated graphics. That is why more gambling players like the no-download software better.
